As a commercial translator, transcriber and subtitler, I specialise in international sports events, transcreation, marketing and life sciences. 

 

As a literary translator, I translate contemporary French and Spanish fiction written by authors from across the globe. I aim to represent the voices in their stories, bringing the English speaking world to the social, political and cultural environments that they portray.

I have twenty years' experience working within the translations industry, with three years' experience working as a professional freelance translator and subtitler.

Over the course of my career I have gained plenty of experience working as a project manager for translations and content creation in a range of languages for international digital marketing clients.

As a professional freelance translator, transcriber and subtitler, I've got a lot of experience within my field of expertise, and I've worked on a range of high-profile projects so far.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in French and Spanish Studies from Lancaster University, a Master's Degree in Advertising and Marketing from Leeds University Business School, and a Master's Degree in Applied Translation Studies from the University of Leeds.

 

I'm an Associate Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, which means I have been officially recognised as a professional within the industry. What's more, I'll be presenting at the next ITI Conference, which takes place on 4-5 June 2024 in Edinburgh. The theme of the conference is 'New world, new work' and the title of my talk is 'Raising the bar: representing women in sport as an audiovisual translator'.
